Defender Lv 1 Pistol + Carbine - Day 1

This course will take the fundamentals of pistol and carbine weapon handling and build upon them in a tactical application. Students will practice deploying and transitioning between platforms methodically and with precision based upon their situation and environment.

This course will cover:

  • Equipment considerations and discussion

  • Malfunction clearing

  • Reloading

  • Transitioning between platforms

  • Moving and shooting

  • Cover & Concealment

  • Multiple targets

  • Positional Shooting

What you will need:

  • Semi-auto pistol

  • Carbine with sling & optic

  • Ammunition: 250 rounds pistol & 300 rounds carbine

  • Sturdy belt

  • Holster OWB Kydex holster

  • 2x pistol mag carriers

  • Belt mounted rifle mag carrier and/or plate carrier or chest rig

  • 3 magazines for each platform

  • Eye and ear protection

  • Appropriate range attire (no open toe shoes or low-cut shirts)

  • Hat recommended

  • Lunch & water

  • Pen & paper

  • Knee pads are optional but encouraged

Defender Lv 2 Pistol + Carbine - Day 2

This course will build upon the foundation of Defender 1 and push students to make critical decisions under stress though scenario based evolutions. We will practice deploying and transitioning between platforms methodically and with precision from both duty carry and concealed carry options. In addition to a heavy emphasis on shooting from cover and movement, students will also be introduced to the fundamentals of shooting around vehicles and the use of de-escalation and response to the escalation of force.

This course will cover:

  • Malfunction clearing

  • Emergency and tactical reloads

  • Transitioning between platforms

  • Moving and shooting

  • Shooting from cover and utilizing vehicles

  • Target Transitions

  • Unorthodox Shooting Positions

  • Positional shooting under stress

What you will need:

  • Ammunition: 250 rounds pistol & 300 rounds carbine (minimum)
